Homeschoolers, I am so excited to share all the things about uHandy mobile microscopes with you! uHandy mobile microscopes are the homeschooling tools I’ve needed for our science units but didn’t know existed. Turns out, not only are they do these amazing tools exist, they are super easy to use, affordable, and uHandy’s mobile microscope kits contain everything our homeschoolers need to learn and explore. Ready to upgrade your microscope and science units! uHandy has the best microscope for homeschoolers!
uhandy Mobile Microscope Kits
Science is not the easiest subject to homeschool. Quality tools are expensive or come in mass quantities because they are designed for schools. I don’t need equipment for 100+ students, nor can I afford something for a college science lab.
I want science tools that let my kids explore no matter where we are learning.
I want tools they can easily use independently.
I want our science tools to truly offer a hands-on experience.
uHandy mobile microscopes offer all of the above and more!
Take Your uHandy Microscope Anywhere
Do your homeschoolers want to examine moss or the bark of a tree up close? Are you heading to the creek or a pond and want to see what microscopic critters are in the water?
There is no longer a need to cart samples home to look at later. uHandy’s microscope simply clips to your phone, iPad, or portable device. Once on, viewers can explore microscopic worlds and take pictures or videos to capture what they’re seeing.
While I know it’s not the case, it feels like uHandy is a homeschool microscope. It’s ideal! It’s small, light, and easy to take with you everywhere you go.
uHandy Microscope for Homeschoolers of all Ages
uHandy microscopes can be used in a variety of ways and are easy to use. The microscope simply clips on the front or back camera. Once on, viewers can either put objects into the clip’s disc to see items up close or put the disc directly onto an object.
When using the front camera, the disc allows for all sorts of samples to be viewed, including samples in water or fine objects like sand. It’s a closed disc so samples will not get on the lens or on your device.
The back camera allows the viewer to look at things like tree bark or moss without disturbing the sample.
While small children might need help clipping the microscope onto the device, once on, they will have no problems using it!
uHandy Mobile Microscopes Offer a Hands-On Experience
Not only can you take uHandy’s mobile microscopes wherever you go, but they also provide tools for your learners to easily (mess-free) take samples home so they can view them again and again.
I love everything about uHandy’s products, but the sampling stickers are my favorite!
Each kit comes with a variety of stickers so your learner can capture samples, transport them, and keep them. These stickers are awesome because not only do they allow things like sand, plants, and glitter to be collected, uHandy also provides bubble stickers for raised objects, chemical reactions, and microscopic organisms to be viewed.
These stickers (here’s another really cool part!) can then be transferred to larger stickers (also provided) that learners can place in their journal (also provided in Duet) so they can be viewed over and over again. You can either use the back camera to view the sample directly in the journal or take the sticker off of the journal (again and again), thanks to the larger sticker, and put it on the microscope. It’s genius!
uHandy Microscope for Homeschoolers
uHandy offers two ways to explore science with their mobile microscopes.
uHandy is offering a special discount to Curiosity Encouraged readers, so be sure to check it out below!
The first kit, and our favorite, is the uHandy Mobile Microscope Duet.
The Duet has EVERYTHING your homeschooler needs to explore both the micro and macro worlds. Inside are two uHandy microscopes- a low-mag and high-mag, a light for viewing macro samples, sample stickers, a journal, and all the equipment you’ll need to view and collect all your homeschooler’s awesome findings.
You can find the specific specs for each microscope on their website, along with tutorials and more information. My homeschooler (and schooler) will use this kit a lot. We already have! I am especially grateful for it as we move into middle and high school science. It’s truly the perfect homeschool microscope kit.
High-Mag Lens Low-Mag Lens
Both lenses are awesome! The high-mag one is REALLY awesome. The light offers different ways to view the samples and everything clips together with magnets. Super simple and easy for kids to use.
