Description

Ever want to be a playwright? This class will introduce students to the structure of a one-act play and help them create an outline for a play of their very own. Come play with playwriting!

Please note- this is a two-part class. The second class will help students create their first scene.

Materials–

• Students will need something to write on and something to write with.
• Slot Notes and Outline- provided with purchase.

Class Structure

In this class, students will learn about playwriting. I use short, fun exercises to help kids find interest and write. Students will find my classroom is a place to have fun, practice, and not worry about being perfect!

I believe in student-centered learning and in the importance of structure in a classroom.

Prior Experience-

Students do not need prior knowledge or experience with playwriting to learn and/or enjoy this class.

Recommended Age

This class is recommended for kids 8+. Writers can write, have a scribe, or use speech-to-text.
