Sometimes all a writer needs is a little inspiration! Competition or gaming doesn’t hurt either. Enter Creative Writing Bingo, a game for all ages that encourages storytelling and putting pencil to paper.

The more we write, the more proficient we become. The more we enjoy writing, the more we write. Both of these statements are true, so it’s important to give kids and teens ample opportunities to write in ways that make writing fun!

Bingo, the simple game of five in a row, can be used to teach pretty much everything! My Bingo boards offer prompts to inspire writers and keep them writing.

For kiddos who are just learning to write or are not quite there, images provide prompts to help them tell stories orally. They can have a scribe, write down key words so they can retell the story again, or play Pass a Story.

Pass a Story is where two or more people work together to keep a story going. The first person chooses one image to begin the story. When they run out of ideas or are ready the pass the story along, the next person chooses a different image and continues.

For kids who are writing sentences, there’s a bingo with word and story prompts. Older kids might like the story prompts or vocabulary word prompts.

There’s also a blank board for all ages, so they can get creative and make their own creative writing BINGO board!

Grab these five BINGO boards and all the resources in my Little Free Resource Library by becoming a Curiosity Encourage Subscriber.

I’ll send you my password immediately, and each week, you’ll get an email with bonus resources, coupons, info about my live classes, and ways to help your kids enjoy reading and writing.

Give Creative Writing Bingo a try! Great for both enthusiastic writers and those who are reluctant! Be sure to play with them! Nothing says learning is important like modeling that it is.

Happy writing!
