The holidays are over, it’s a new year, and it’s time to get back in a grove. For homeschoolers or at-home learners, this might look like trying something new. For others, we’re looking for a restart or a gentle nudge. One of my favorite ways to begin again is by starting a new creative writing project. Fun and a gentle way to get back into learning, I’d love for your kids to join me in my Winter Poetry Workshop.

I know writing can be one of those skills that can feel daunting (exhausting) and sometimes no fun!

It doesn’t have to be, though! I’d love to help you get your kids excited about writing this year.

We’re going to start with one of my favorite genres, poetry. I know, poetry. I know this word alone can send some kids running. But time and time again, in elementary and secondary writing classes, I’ve found when given a chance to be creative and explore the many ways to write a poem, it soon becomes a writer’s favorite!
