Books We Love

Partly for you, partly for me, here are the books we love and we couldn’t put down or wish would never end!

I’ll be updating this page as often as I can.

Please, please feel free to comment below with the titles of books you and your people love. We’re always looking for new reads!

Best Reads- Kelly (adult)

January was filled with goods books. FIVE stars, all of them.

If you haven’t read The Handmaid’s Tale, I’d read that before The Testaments. Both are terrifically poignant and horrifying. I liked The Testaments the best.

An American Marriage spoke to my heart, to injustice, to the truths and challenges in relationships.

I’ll think of the relationships in The Memory Keeper’s Daughter for a long time.

Hands down, Where the Crawdad’s Sing is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Right there with The Things They Carried, Song of Solomon, Tracks.

February, March, April, and May, this strange year is flying by. Thankfully, good books are keeping me sane, informed, inspired, and entertained.

Know My Name- not an easy read, but an important one. Channel Miller is also known as Emily Doe. This is her story.

Untamed– the third memoir by Glennon Doyle. Like her first book Carry on Warrior and her second book, Love Warrior, Untamed is hard to put down. All are terrific. I recommend reading them in order.

Little Fires Everywhere– good book! Loved the show even more.

The Book of Longing– Sue Monk Kidd never disappoints. This one is one I’ll read again!

Fahrenheit 451– a book I wish I’d read in school!

Such a Fun Age– read with a friend. A lot to unpack with this one.

Best Reads- Clark (13/14)

Clark continues to love all books by Rick Riordan.

For high school, Clark has to read House on Mango Street. One of my all-time favorites, I’m excited to share this read with him!

Best Reads- Sophie (10)

Sophie devoured Click and Camp. They are the first books she read from start to finish in one sitting. We read The Girl Who Drank the Moon and we’re sad it ended. We’re also loving all our Bookshark biology class books. They are filled with gorgeous pictures and super interesting facts.

Sophie and I also loved Ida B. It’s beautiful and sad and true. She is finishing up Ella Diaries series. They are loved.

More to come!! Happy Reading xo
