“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
~ Fred Rogers

Hi! I'm Kelly. I'm a writer, homeschooler, teacher, and someone who is always on the lookout for fun, simple ways to encourage my children's curiosity and help them love to learn.

Maybe that's why you are here? You're looking for resources too.

I'm excited to share how I help my children and students get excited about learning, take on challenges, and find success.

When you subscribe to Curiosity Encouraged, you'll receive a Welcome Packet with THREE subscriber gifts.

One gift is access to my resource library (free printable activities, e-books, and ideas for children, teens, families, and classrooms).

The other two are not in my library. They're just for you.

One will help your child get inspired and excited about learning

And the other will help children think, discuss, and understand what they are reading regardless of their ability or age.

You'll also receive a weekly letter from me filled to the brim with ideas to help make play, creativity, learning, and travel a part of every day.

I hope you'll become a part of this growing community of parents and teachers who want to help the children they love, love to learn.

“We can best help children learn, not by deciding what we think they should learn and thinking of ingenious ways to teach it to them, but by making the world, as far as we can, accessible to them, paying serious attention to what they do, answering their questions -- if they have any -- and helping them explore the things they are most interested in.”
