When I was a new mother, teacher, and homeschooler I wished I had a mentor. I wished for someone who had been where I was and who was more than willing to listen and offer me ideas without their worry, judgment, or our history getting in the way. Yes, I had friends, family, and colleagues, but there is something very different about a conversation with someone focused solely on what we need.

No matter how big or small our questions, struggles, challenges, or want for a change is it is valid and important. It’s powerful, life-changing even, to name what we need and then receive it.

As a new mom, I needed help balancing work, motherhood, and marriage.

As a new teacher, I needed help creating authentic learning environments, keeping students engaged, finding creative ways to teach boring topics.

As a new homeschooler, creating connections, finding resources, figuring out our style and rhythm- all of these things were hard.

I hold the few times someone sat with me, listened fully, and heard what I needed close to my heart.
