Welcome to the class page for the Literary Analysis for High Schoolers, a bi-weekly live class on Zoom that offers students a variety of pieces of literature to annotate, discuss, and analyze.

Classes begin mid-August 2025. They run every other week from August to November and pick up again from February to April.

Soon, you will be able to find links to the pieces of literature we’ll be discussing and analyzing, as well as a video mini-lesson on annotation.

I suggest you print out each reading to make annotations easier. Pieces must be read and annotated prior to class in order to participate in the class discussion and begin writing your analysis.

Once listed, please note the dates so you read the right piece for each class.

When you are finished with your annotation, you are welcome to share a Google Doc link with me for feedback. I do not offer grades, but I am happy to provide you with revision suggestions.
