In this class, students are offered a piece of literature to read, discuss, and analyze. Literary genres rotate monthly between nonfiction, fiction, and poetry.

Time allocated for reading in class is not provided. Students are expected to read and annotate the assigned piece of writing (provided) prior to class.

Pieces of literature and a video mini-lesson explaining annotation are provided on our class page. All pieces of literature will be provided via a PDF or an internet link. I strongly recommend printing out the piece so students can annotate on paper.

Homework-

Students will need to read and annotate the piece of literature we’ll be studying in class. They may also need time outside of class to finish and revise their analysis.

Feedback- 

Students are welcome to send me their writing outside of class for feedback. I do not offer grades, but I will help students revise.
