Greek Mythology has it all- heroes, villains, friendship, love, deception, snake hair, sea monsters, really cool shape-shifters and cyclops. The stories are captivating. The gods and goddesses lure readers, even the most resistant, into their adventures.
My children, thanks to a little strewing, have spent the last three weeks inviting Zeus, Apollo, Odysseus, Percy Jackson and all sorts of other characters into their imaginations. In the car, at bedtime, at lunch- we are devouring books, audiobooks, and movies.
Below is a list of our favorite ways to learn and experience Greek Mythology. If you’re looking for a read aloud, chapter book series, or a great addition to movie night, be sure to check these out.
*Note- my children are 7 and 10. Many of the myths have violence. Use discretion.
